When to Expect a Reply
We are a small team, but we read every message. General inquiries receive a response within 48 hours on business days. Price submissions are verified and typically appear in the Global Index within one week. Machine review suggestions are reviewed monthly and added to our testing queue based on demand and availability.

The more specific you are, the faster we can help. Submitting a price? Include the cafe name, city, country, and date. Suggesting a machine? Include the model name and approximate street price. Context helps us act on your message right away.
Submit a City Price
The Global Cheapest Espresso Index runs on real-world price observations from contributors around the globe. If you have recently ordered a single espresso at an independent cafe — whether in Lisbon, Seoul, Buenos Aires, or anywhere else — we want to hear about it.
Your submission helps build the most comprehensive espresso pricing dataset on the internet. Every verified data point makes the index more accurate, more useful, and more interesting for the thousands of coffee enthusiasts and travelers who rely on it.
What to Include
- City and country name
- Cafe name and neighborhood (if known)
- Price of a single espresso in local currency
- Date of your visit
- Any relevant notes (tourist area, specialty shop, chain vs. independent)

Suggest a Machine Review
Our testing queue is influenced directly by reader demand. If there is a budget espresso machine you have been eyeing — or one you already own and want an honest, independent evaluation of — tell us about it.
We prioritize machines that meet three criteria: a street price under $500, wide availability in at least one major market, and limited existing independent review data. Machines that generate multiple reader requests move to the front of the queue.

Include the city name, country, the name of the cafe, the price of a single espresso in local currency, and the date you observed the price. We verify all submissions before adding them to the Global Cheapest Espresso Index. You can also email prices directly to prices@budgetespresso.com.
Select "Suggest a Machine Review" from the contact form subject dropdown. Tell us the machine name, approximate price, and why you think it deserves coverage. We prioritize machines under $500 that are widely available and have limited independent review data. We cannot guarantee every suggestion will be reviewed, but we read every submission and it directly influences our testing queue.
